Getting to Roatan: 3 Easy Ways

1. By Plane – Flying in to the Island

You can take a direct plane to Roatán, its airport receives flights from many destinations, like Canada, United States or Mexico. It also counts with local flights from Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula making the journey faster and comfortable.

2. By Ferry

If you would like to see more of Honduras you can choose to arrive at La Ceiba, sleep and enjoy the city views and the next day taking a ferry.

Galaxy Wave offers two daily departures:

  • La Ceiba at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
  • Roatan at 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Their schedule is set up to reach other possible connections you might have to other destinations. 


3. By Land – An Adventure before your Wedding


Land transportation is an option too, if you come from Central America you can take a bus from one of the major transportation companies available, arrive at La Ceiba and from there take a ferry to the island, you could also arrive at San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa and then take a direct plane to Roatan.
